New Garden View

As you can see it was a tangled mess! A friend of The Boy’s from bowling, his bowling mother, her husband and his nephew cleared it out, proof there are kind people in the world. The job is almost finished. I love it!

Why Don't We All Plant 2 Zucchini At Church To Give Away to Our Hungry Neighbors?

Was reading this piece about an 11 year old girl that stole my idea for feeding the hungry when it hit me, she didn't steal it, she just did it. Why can't I go to churches, go to my church, see about planting 2 zucchini plants? Anyone that's ever seen how many zucchini you get off just 2 plants would agree, that's a lot of food for people who don't have anything to eat. We must have 15 churches just right here in Perry Hall, that's 30 zucchini plants, or a lot of zucchini! People see how easy it is, maybe next year we plant 4? It could, and should be an explosion of food, think about it.

Kratovil-Harris Ingnoring A Constituent, and Political Ads Are Repulsive

Email I sent to Harris-Kratovil, still no answer to my original question, and these ads are ridiculous.

Enough with the commercials guys, especially the ones you didn't do. Make sure the winner does something abut this unending money flow for commercials, it's ridiculous!

Neither of you are going to respond to me about the question I asked about which one of you is lying about the 23% sales tax? Interesting that constituent questions mean absolutely nothing to you both, thanks.

Harris-Kratovil Political Ads Are Lies, But Which One is Lying

I try not to do politics here, and this isn't intended to be one side or the other, but somebody is lying. Just saw a Kratovil ad that said his opponent Harris favors a 23% sales tax increase, even going as far as giving the Harris web address, so I went. Harris says it's not true, he never said it, it's a lie. OK, one them is telling the truth, one of them is in fact lying! That's just the tip of it, every contest has the same ads, we are in trouble.

Waiting To See How I Feel, and Good Friends And Family Doing the MS Walk

I feel like I'm in total limbo, waiting to breath, waiting to move, just waiting. Can't honestly give a description of how I feel, don't know. Don't feel bad, don't feel great. Can't even tell why that is, except that I know I've been depressed. Wouldn't be nice if I could go one day without, this, or that, or 2 of these, and a couple of those? I think I'd jump in front of a train if I had that perfect day, just to keep from having something screw it up. OK, maybe a bus trains scare me. Until then, I wait...

Our MS walk is April, 18th, I'm signed up as a virtual walker. There has been a really surprising show of interest and support. 4 gals I went to school with did it last year, and I was very touch by that. This year we have 13 signed up so far, and we already raised our goal amount. The wife and Daughter are going, the boy is doing the virtual gig, bowling and work. The brother is doing it, that's nice, the same 4 girls from last year, a couple of guys from school, and long time friends of ours and their 2 teenage girls, who are both too cool, and beautiful to be believed, we will have throngs of young men following us all day. There are even a couple of the girls friends going with us. I will be at base camp waiting for the walkers with a tailgater style lunch, and a lot of appreciation!

Multiple Sclerosis, Random Acts of Kindness, Garden Growing, and Raindrop seems to be helping

Just about the time I want to a wall around my yard to keep humans out, people have to go an ruin it with random acts of kindness. Like I was saying, the girl had an accident the other day, wasn't hurt, but was pretty shaken up. Although the person that cut her off, and all the people that saw her take out the sign kept on going, 18 separate cars stopped to see if she was OK, 3 called 911, and countless slowed and gave her the thumbs up. It's those first few that kept going, or even swerved to go around her that I want to see end up on their roof, not hurt, just their car on its roof, spinning!

I got the last of my idiot tubs made today, had to go buy a new jigsaw to do it, my old craftsman died. I also got a flaring tool to connect the tubes for my framing system, it didn't work. Brussels sprouts are getting big, so are the squash. The eggplant is getting tall, but hasn't changed in shape much. My peppers are doing fantastic, all of them are doing nicely. My salad table is under performing, I think it may not be getting enough sun, I'll change that tomorrow. I'm making more soil tomorrow, and planting my mators, I can't wait to snack on golden cherries. We will be harvesting soon.

The raindrop is going well, I feel really good. I did more today then I have done in a while today, and made out great. I got up early, 8:30 or so, and set up having a new windshield put in the girls car. I took my 5 trash bags of aluminum cans to the recycle center, got a whopping $10.22! From my windfall I went and got a new prescription for my nutsy pills, there's been a problem with how many the insurance company will let me get, unless I have them deliver them, then I can have as much as I want! I have the 3rd treatment tomorrow, so I'm hoping to see more good days ahead, I hope it's the raindrop causing it, it does feel like it is, we shall see.

Multiple Sclerosis, Great Holiday Weekend, Wii Fit Age Test, and Apportioning My Stamina

What a great weekend we had! We had one half of the family here today for Easter dinner, and may I say it was delicious? We did some of it yesterday, some of it this afternoon after church. It was a very relaxing day, and the entire family played Wii for a while, getting our Wii ages, mine was 29, and it said I have great balance! Whaaaaa?

The girls went back to school tonight, but it was really nice having the daughters friend here with us. I suppose it was no big deal, but it was nice to be in a position to be able to extend the offer. It also made us feel good, like we were doing something nice. Maybe this will get us a pass with one of our kids, and someone will do something nice for them, just because they can.

I was going to fix my grandmothers Easter eggs, but we are going on a cruise in June, and I am already fighting a bad case of Merv Griffin body! Her eggs were the best in the world, especially the cherry vanilla cremes. I can remember sneaking down into her basement and stealing a slice off of one out of the fridge down there. I used to think it was quite a clever theft, but what did I think, she didn't notice the half eaten eggs?

Tomorrow is the start of a new week, and I plan on doing my best to use my time to the fullest. I am going to pace myself, set goals, and not overdo it to the point of exhaustion. Sounds so easy, but I get going like JoJo the little dancing monkey, and before I know it, overdone! I have some things to plant in pots, some things to figure out, and if I'm smart, a nap to take before I fix dinner!

Multiple Sclerosis, Physical Therapy, and Scanning Family Slides

2 weeks of therapy in the bag, my back hurts a little bit, I'm profoundly tired, and I'm not sure it's been long enough to have an informed opinion on the benefits/harm of said therapy. I feel like that teenage wizard dude, the one my father calls Harvey Porter, when the bones in his one arm turned to rubber. My right hand isn't worth too much right now, I'm hoping that gets better, eventually. I haven't decided what I think of some of the methods used, maybe I just don't get it. I'm not sure if my Squiggle Wiggle pen is going to help me, or break my foot when I drop it on my toes!

I was at the therapist the other day, sitting in the waiting room, when an elderly woman came out from the therapy room. She was trying to put her coat on, it was about 25 degrees outside and snowing. She was having a hard time getting her second arm into its sleeve, she had he coat all twisted around. After her third try, I stood and offered to help her. She was able to get the coat on easily, thanked me, and gave me a hug. Small things that make you feel good. There was another elderly woman in the waiting room and when the first woman left, she came over and gave me a hug too! She also apologized because when I first came in and sat down, she got up and moved because I made her uncomfortable! I decided it was time to shave my winter beard off and look less like a mountain man so I would stop scarring old ladies!

I just finished scanning my parents slides, all 3,700 of them, oh how I need to get a life! It was actually fun, I thought I had seen them all over the years, but I was wrong, and I'm really glad I was. I had forgotten what a cute kid I was! There are a couple of slides that the camera must have been broken, it made my head look huge! I will in a few weeks start the same thing with the in laws slides, the ones yhe wife said didn't exist. I know more about her family than she does. I look forward to seeing all the pictures of her when she was a little girl, she's 47 today by the way. Happy birthday baby! I bought an Epson photo scanner for $100, split 3 ways with the brother and sister. Having done that many slides, I wish I had told them it was $100 a peice!
