The right eye is acting up, that blurry, fuzzy, fade out type of acting up. This weather is killing me! Don't know about anyone else but I need it to get warm and stay warm, or stay cool, I don't care, but this warm one day, cold the next is tearing me apart! Teaming up with the eye is the usual slow motion of things, like an out of body experience, though I really don't know what one of those is like. Not too hard to deal with, as long as it's only in one eye, so keep your fingers crossed.
Had both my minions out in the yard helping me today, would be funny if they didn't come from my gene pool! The girl panics if she doesn't get it right away, and the boy figures he didn't know it yesterday, won't scar him if he doesn't know it today. They laid a layer of cardboard down to kill the grass, then filled the 6x8' raised bed with compost. The girl did the cardboard and left for school, while the boy got to hump the compost from the truck to the bed. He was all proud of himself, said all finished. Wish you could have seen the look on his face when I said, good job, cut the grass and you're all finished!
These are the things that make me scratch my head and say "Whaaaaaa"?

Multiple Sclerosis, Broken Glasses, Mega Yard Sale, and The Elderly
I must have angered the eyeglass Gods with my post yesterday. I was answering one of the comments, probably making a good point, I don't recall, when the glass fell out of one side of the glasses! Yep, it just kerplunked right out, sounded lit the guy wire on a communications tower breaking free, right out and onto the keyboard. I said a few choice words, and decided I wouldn't have them replaced! Yeah, stick it to the man, give me anti-glare protection for free that makes it harder to see, who needs you? I tried to calm down, looking out the kitchen window, I was cheered to see our chipmunks have returned. I love watching them run around, who needs trifocals, not me. As I was basking in my decision to go sans glasses, the chipmunk flew up into the tree! I'm going tonight for new glasses.
I also went out to lunch with the in-laws today, had a wonderful time. It was a luncheon at their church, a chicken salad plate, with cake! I was the youngest person there, probably by 20 years, but that's nice to not always be the old fogy in the crowd. 2 things about that age group that has always fascinated me, they drink coffee with whatever it is they are eating, makes no difference, and, they will ask you anything. One gentlemen asked me if I was the crippled son in law, I assured him I was. They did everything but ask to try out the stimulator, and pointed out I still limp with it. What age does that happen?
The wife is going to be preparing for her mega family, multi street yard sale this weekend. There are a few neighbors joining in, not as many as she would like, but a few. If she had her way, she would be able to make it mandatory that everyone participated. As it is, I am keeping my fingers crossed that the monsoon season has a brief respite. We have 25 years worth of junk to try and pawn off on unsuspecting visitors. I'm not much on saving, I have one 18 gallon storage tub of memorabilia, and a few boxes of trophies. The wife needs 18 storage buildings to keep all of her stuff. I want this sale to go off so we can thin the herd, and get into the lower basement again!

Multiple Sclerosis, Vision Problems, and Glasses That Don't Work
What a long days this has been. I think my eyes are going to explode? OK, that's just a tad mellow dramatic, how about my eyes are bothering me? I think it's my glasses, not my eyes, I fell for do you want anti-glare on the lenses, it's no extra charge? Sure, anti-glare all around. I've only worn glasses for a year, went in to get readers, left with trifocals that I can't figure out, plus that anti-glare crap is wearing off, making it look like scratches on the lenses. After a year, now I'm aware I need them, and they don't work!
This actually isn't the first time I've worn glasses, twice before I got try out that look. Unusual to outgrow needing glasses you say? Not really, and I am apt to be rather unusual! The first time I wore specs was for a bad case of Strabismus, that's cross eyes to you lay people. I was 3, my loving family still makes reference to how goofy I looked, the memories of childhood. After that problem corrected, when I was like 13 or so, I watched my uncle using a welding torch without eye protection, burned my retinas or something along those lines. I'm not sure if it was the same uncle that shot me in the forehead with a BB gun or not?
I've had frequent bouts of optic neuritis, but not for a while. I need to have my eyes checked by someone who deals with MS club members, I'm not sure if there are other issues with vision I need to be aware of. I know double vision is possible, and I have to admit, I'm not sure what that means? When things are out of focus, things appear double, at least they do to me? Anyway, I went to a regular ophthalmologist, but he didn't have anything for me, except trifocals with an anti-glare coating!
