Perry Hall Town Fair, Wheelchair Advantages, and Karaoke Legend Born

Today was the Perry Hall town fair was today, it was rained out a few weeks ago, and what a great day it was! Me and the wife met a friend of ours, I went to school with her, she's a hoot. Saw another friend, she wasn't able to stay, she's hosting an Aussie youth baseball team playing at Ripken stadium, but it was good to see her just the same. We got there when it started at 10, found a spot in the dead center, an island under a tree, and staked our claim. We ate, talked to people, talked about people, had a blast! All the local politicians were there vying for position, fun to watch, and between the 3 of us, we knew everyone of them! It was a great day.

Me and the wife loaded up the wheelchair and took that to the fair. Let me tell you, I know a lot of people may try hold off certain things, like using a wheelchair, but I have to tell you, it was one of the best decisions we made. In the past, if we went to thinks like today at all, we had to figure the whole day, where to sit that was close to where we parked, and close to the bathrooms. The wife would go look around the midway, by herself, I couldn't drag myself that far, and we wouldn't stay that long. If you are on the fence, don't be, it's nice to be back in the game, I was buzzing all around that place, it was very nice.

Our neighbor down the street turn 70 today. Almost a year ago he lost his wife, and we have tried to be there to help him out with things. He had his party at his cousins deli down in Dundalk, it was a karaoke party. The neighbor started doing karaoke a few months after his wife died and is hooked on it! It's a nice enough groug, some pretty talented, some not so much, but every claps, everyone cheers, it was just what he needed. We have gone to support him a bunch of times, so have a group of our friends, it's been a nice time out, but today the unthinkable happened. I got up and sang! It was a new low, a real highlight film. Happy birthday pal, and I was sober too!

I agree with the wheelchair fear, it is tough. The chair does give me freedom to live and go most anywhere I want.
Glad you seen the freedom.

OMG Andy....You SANG????? and you didn't wait till we were all there to see you???? I cry foul (and replay) You have no excuse not to sing for us the next time we all go out to Karaoke again! I am counting on two things now..One: that we all get to the Karaoke again soon and Two: that YOU sing for us as well. (ps, tell Vince happy birthday from us!)

Kim - It's best $400 I've spent in years!

Beth - Funny thing really, I don't have to do it again and you can't make me, so there! As for it being foul, you will have to check that part with Jackie.

Thanks ladies,

awb
