Why Don't We All Plant 2 Zucchini At Church To Give Away to Our Hungry Neighbors?

Was reading this piece about an 11 year old girl that stole my idea for feeding the hungry when it hit me, she didn't steal it, she just did it. Why can't I go to churches, go to my church, see about planting 2 zucchini plants? Anyone that's ever seen how many zucchini you get off just 2 plants would agree, that's a lot of food for people who don't have anything to eat. We must have 15 churches just right here in Perry Hall, that's 30 zucchini plants, or a lot of zucchini! People see how easy it is, maybe next year we plant 4? It could, and should be an explosion of food, think about it.

Such a great idea! We all could grow more food and share it.

zuchnni is about the only veg my partner can eat and they are so expensive in grocery--this would be a life saver for us--a life changer. Small things can produce HUGE rewards.

Diane - I checked, think it's 102 elementary schools in Baltimore County. Just think what a source of food is being lost, and the lessons of how to grow it.
