MRI Shows Multiple Sclerosis Is Winning, Lesions Have Increased

Got the results from the first MRI, this one was of the brain and the top half of the spine, the news is what we expected. There are new lesions on both, "numerous" was the term used, meaning the size has increased to the point one has overtaken the next, so they no longer can differentiate. Have the lower spine tomorrow, expect to get the same results. The neurologist suggested I transfer to Hopkins as things have gotten past his area of knowledge. The 23 years with him were good ones, so I trust it's time to change, keep your fingers crossed they have something for Secondary Progressive and have been waiting for me to come in!

I agree with you going to Hopkins. These research places, do know more, as I keep being surprised by. Hope you do not go into 2nd progressive!

Sorry to hear your MRI showed more lesions and you're progressing..OH, yes, but, as you say, You have MS. Nothing to be alarmed about, you are the normal MS patient. That is funny--"past his area of knowledge" my neuro just dropped me off onto a PT "expert in MS"---why are they afraid to speak the truth? I hope you didn't waste money ot energy on the DMD drugs. I almost like SPMS...less uncertainty. Just stay strong in any part of your body that still works. And never stop laughing at life's absurdities. (That's a woed, right?)

Is woed a word? hahahahaha (see, nothing to worry about!)

Kim - The secondary P diagnoses was 18 months ago, this explosion on the mri is since then.

Diane - Woed? Woed? Son of a...now I'm forgetting words, things are worse than I thought!
