Multiple Sclerosis, and a Family Wedding

Yeah, that's the same thing I thought! The boy is down in the dumps after going to the doctors and seeing his finger for the first time, I can't say I blame him. He is looking at 4 weeks in a rigid splint, then 4 more weeks of limited use. He got a list of exercises to do so that the finger doesn't stiffen up too much. He will get the stitches out next Monday, but the 5 screws in the plate that is in the finger are his to keep. He went up and bowled for a bit today, with his left hand of course, but that even didn't cheer him up that much. I wish he didn't have to learn that things don't always go your way with such a physical example!

My niece got married this weekend and she was a beautiful bride, she is after all my niece! The wife did a double reading during the ceremony, and our daughter was the best bridesmaid in the history of the world. The boy and I were flies on the wall, or is it wall flowers? Yeah I think wall flowers is the right term, I knew walls came into it someplace. The women were dancing fools, they did all the standards, all the slides, electric and otherwise. The boy even abandoned me and a danced a few, but it was good to see him dance with his sister on his own. I played the role of the old uncle that everyone tried to figure out what was wrong for him, but that's OK, the niece and the daughter were beautiful.

It was one of those 12 hour receptions, but the food was great! I particularly enjoyed the peck of oysters I ate, along with the school of chilled under 6 count shrimp I devoured. The shrimp were served on a sword, which was a nice touch. Did I mention the wife was as gorgeous as ever? She was! We also got to go to the rehearsal dinner. Swish, I got 2 great meals, didn't have to read anything, no dress with matching shoes, I didn't even wear long pants all night! It was great to be with the entire family, but I am paying the price today. The ride to the eastern shore and back was bad enough, but add the standing around and sitting on firehouse folding chairs and I am finished! The wedding was great, the niece is happy, so all is good.

The fire hall was right next to ECI prison, they don't use songs with pokie in them

I think you forgot to mention how handsome the tall distinguished uncle looked at the wedding - in pants and all!!!
