MRI Shows More Demyelination From Multiple Sclerosis, 2 Torn Disks in My Back

Got the results back from the second MRI today, more cheery news. The neuro says I have a narrowing of the spinal cord, she told me that's common in MS patients, lucky me, I have a skinny spine. There are a few spots on the lumbar, all new, and a certain amount of an increase on spots in the thoracic. Thing that interested me were the 2 torn discs down at L-4, L-5? I will be making some phone calls to see what that's all about tomorrow.

Kim - It was my cord that has thinned, not my spine. They didn't say that was the cause of my pain, but they don't always say that much!

Andy, very interesting...I wonder what that means and if it can be repaired?

Diane - This doctor is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Sinai specialist, sounds good? We will see, he told me he sees this frequently in ms patients.
