Dental Destruction, Therapist Must Be Crazy

I was anemic when I was a baby, the mother didn't know she was supposed to give me the iron through a straw, she gave it to me on a spoon, or so the story goes. As a result I have horrible teeth! When I had the amalgam fillings removed in the early 90's they numbered 26! I am meticulous with my oral hygiene, didn't seem to matter? I have a few, OK a bunch of crowns, always something going on. Had a loose crown, figured I'd go in, have it cemented back on? Won't need to do that, running my tongue over it today the whole tooth feel out!  Appointment next Thursday with an oral surgeon to have the rest of the tooth removed.

P/T girl comes today, got a new one, she comes when she says she's coming, and seems to have a plan. Met with the O/T gal finally, had to get that precious authorization. The lack of a plan is what I have always disliked about therapy, it always felt like they were making it up as we went along. She has go to exercises, keeps me on task. I will see about O/T, have my doubts to be honest, some radical ideas like doing laundry and cooking and assorted choirs!

I Need An Activity, Doctor Day, and Shameful News Coverage

I have a exciting day planned tomorrow, I'm positively giddy! I'm going to the dentist in the morning, then having a spinal injection in the afternoon. Normally I'd be pretty sure what the dentist was going to do, fix the shattered tooth, but not so sure for tomorrow. Been chewing on the right side, lost a filling on a tooth over there, and this on hasn't had a root canal, so who knows? The spinal injection is a slice of gravy, you know what you're getting there. I should have scheduled a colonoscopy for the middle of the day, that would have made a real round robin!

I got out of the house today, went to the grocery store. It was a thrill a minute. I find I'm not having a problem with the physical part of getting out, I just have no place to go! I need to join some kind of club, or start hanging out at bars, something to get out of the house. My problem is, I'm not a joiner. A group of old men play bingo at Burger King, maybe I can sub for them? I'm thinking of taking a chair up to Gunpowder Falls and sitting there, in the field, along the trails, just being out. My problem is I can't join anything, because I never know if I will be up to going anywhere. Maybe if I start slow, in a few years I'll be ready to be around people?

I'm a little bothered by what I've seen on the news lately, or more to the point, what I haven't seen. I've seen plenty on what the experts think Gov. Palin's future plans are, who may get Micheal Jackson's kids, and if Favre and Vick will play football this year. There have been plenty of stories about the President, the professor, and the cop having a beer. Are we still at war? Are we still at war in 2 foreign countries? You could have fooled me! One of the worst things that happened to us is the 24 hour news cycle. They are already covering the 2012 election because people get all worked up it. Our children are at war, and we don't talk about it, I'm sorry for that!

Lost My Stuff, DMV Hassles, and My Hobbit House

Had my dentist appointment today, didn't go. It wasn't a decision I made for myself, couldn't find my keys or my wallet. Normally I would laugh something like that off, not give it a second thought, but things are beginning to not be so funny anymore. I not only couldn't remember where my stuff was, I couldn't remember the last time I needed it. When did I drive last, I can't remember? Turns out they were in a bag I took last Thursday when I had the injection in my back, but I didn't know where that particular bag was anyway. I'm not driving very much, I knew that, but it's bad when you can't remember when you drove last.

I suppose when the boy gets his license, I will drive even less, mainly because he will probably take my truck, but partly because I don't have anywhere to go. I called today, again, to see if the boy has gotten clearance to drive from the department of motor vehicles. Because of his epilepsy, they have to OK it, with a doctors recommendation. I get that, I agree with that, but they have had it since the beginning of May, decide already, better yet, return my call! He goes back to school 8/15, I was hoping he had his regular license by then, not to mention his learners.

I finally know what I would do with my life if given the chance. I would create a Hobbit like house, complete with those nifty little round doors like Bilbo Baggins had. I'm trying to figure out how to throw one of these little beauties in the back yard right now, without the wife making me live in it! Hey, I know, a place for my chickens to live! That's right, forgot, not allowed to have those either. Ya have to admit, it would be a cool place to sit, ponder, and smoke a ton of the halfling weed, whatever that was? For now, I'll just be happy reading about it, though I must say, that gets old after all these years.

Multiple Sclerosis, No Celiac Decease, Tooth Trouble, and So Ends the Music

Good news, I don't have Celiac decease! Bad news is we still don't know why I am pumping vitamin D out faster then I take it in. The physicians assistant told me she wasn't worried about it, she must not know how much I hate that one? For now I will take my 100,000 iu of vitamin D and see what happens. It's bad when the prospect of having another decease isn't that bad, if it means getting some answers.

The boy has his last concert with the honors symphonic winds tonight. He doesn't graduate until next year, but he will be doing work release next year, or is it work study? I need to learn that, one of them isn't good. We will be sad to see it go, but we enjoy it more than he does. He should love it, without a seconds work at home, not one minute of practice, he has cruised through it with A's, and can play anything with a reed. Maybe someday he will appreciate the talent he has, for now, he is just glad it's over.

I have to schedule going to the dentist, something I hate to do, not because it hurts, but rather because it takes so long. My parents paid for the dentists vacation home when I was a kid, not because I didn't take of my teeth, I had issues. I still have issues, I know, but we are talking teeth people! I was anemic when I was little, and they gave me iron on a spoon. That evidently ruined the enamel on my teeth, and I have had nothing but trouble since. I have a few broken fillings, a couple of cracked teeth, and pain in about 5 or 6 spots. Looks like my dentist will be able to afford vacation this summer!
