County Thinking For Me

     I got turned down by the county again for a curb cut at the rear of Perry Hall middle school, they said it was in my best interest. Honest, they really said that. If I was able to walk, I would be able to walk in the street. I could jog, bike, trike, pogo, do cartwheels. Kids can ride their bikes in the street, skateboard, roller skate. I guess the county has decided that when I became a full time wheelchair rider I must have become feeble minded also? They also said there wasn’t money in the budget, but I’m stuck on the fact the county thinks I am unable to make safe decisions.

     In an email from the school board, “Without a safe pathway through our property and in the interest of the safety of the community member, we are unable to support this request.“ Safe pathway? From the rear of the school to the front? How can that be? I think I need to go into full beast mode with the school and my county council person? Show them how much cheaper a curb cut would be as compared with a lawsuit to make a safe pathway from the rear of the school. 

I Want To Vote On Earmarks, Keep The Politicians Out Of It

Saw a thing about earmarks today, the politicos are going to try to talk about them. I gots a question, why don't we vote on it? I'd like to have a vote, like a referendum, or an initiative. Aren't these dudes and duddettes supposed to be doing what we want, representing us? They haven't even asked me what I thought? We can elect all the people we want to office, until we get our hands into it things will just be a moneymaker for a small group of people and the people that pay for them.

Election Ads Finished, Both TV and Politics Back to Normal

It is so good to turn the television on and not see all those political ads, now I can watch Viagra and whiskey ads in peace. Local news was hard to figure out, some won who you thought would, other lost, hard to track. We kept a Dem for Gov, but got Rep for congress. I'll be waiting to see how long it is before it returns to normal. Just had 2 years of R's riding the D's, saying nothing will work, now they are in charge, see how long it takes this speaker to be accused of having a private agenda, of course he was the one making the accusations! We I take over things will be much smoother, just wait for it!

No Answer From Kratovil-Harris On Question But Harris Will Take My Money

So it's almost a month later, neither Harris of Kratovil have responded to my numerous emails asking which one of them is lying in their political ads. I for one find that very odd, and very interesting, are both of them lying? When I was a kid and my mother asked me if had done something and I hadn't I spilled my guts like Jimmy 6 toes ratting out the mob! These 2 are going at it like 2 little boys, figured one would fess up. Sent both of them this little note,

Political Ads and Maryland Politics

Who gets my first email about all the political ads on TV? I wanted to get rid of cable, just go with analog, but I lost a family vote, curses! Kind of glad I lost, network TV is one long political ad, and I think they are all lying. One candidate is running on their accomplishments, Barbara Milkulski, but she's been in office for 100 years, running against a guy that made a commercial that looked like the show crocodile hunter. Eric Wargotz said he considers himself a "constitutional conservative" and an "Old Testament kind of guy."

OK, what's the big difference, is this the change having to do with how much money can be donated? That needs to be changed tomorrow if this is the result. I've seen the one gubernatorial ad at lest 15 times today, and I don't watch anything during the day, and that's not the only one I've seen. All of them are contradicting each other, someone is lying! WBAL says Kratovil changed his ad, told the truth, kind of, lies of omission, I wouldn't know, neither Harris or Kratovil have returned my emails. Don't forget there are 2 other people running, Libertarian Dr Richard Davis, and Independent Jack Wilson.

Sex at the Rec Center, and Harris-Kratovil Still Not Responding To My Question

It was another beautiful day here, took my chair and went to the park, met a friend and sat. We had a good time, talked about our thoughts on life, had a few laughs. Time to head home I have to go past that little parking lot I had the problem with the other day and of course there's a car parked there again. They weren't in a handicapped spot, they were just having a sexual encounter in the middle of the day, FYI, your windows aren't that tinted!

No Answer From Kratovil-Harris, Multiple Sclerosis and Temperature Change

I sent Harris and Kratovil both emails, CC'd the other on each, waiting to hear from them about the 23% sales tax issue. Saw the ad again tonight, not only has a footnote for Harris' page, but it also has a link for fairtax.org. I went there to see what I could see, don't see anything for Harris, just a bunch of places to donate money, can't wait for someone to point me in the right direction. You'd think the dude that's telling the truth would get back in touch?

Long day today, got up early, could not sleep. When I say early I don't mean like 9ish, I'm talking like 5 am, cramps and pain in my legs. Came down to the command center, had all the windows open, it was great, I think it was in the high 40's. Don't know about anyone else, but my MS kills me when the weather does this jumping around thing. Say 50 this morning, 86 tomorrow, who do I call about regulating the temperature? I need it to stay in one place, either summer or fall, not each.

Football Strike, Too Many Political Ads, and Busted Wheelchair

Watched the opening game of the new NFL season, loved playing the game, not such a big deal to watch it. I was trying to figure out what the players were doing just before the game, both teams postured out onto the field, holding one finger into the air? Found out afterward it was a sign of solidarity, if the owners don't give them what they want in collective bargaining the 2011 season could be in danger. With all I have in me, I swear that if they strike, I will never see another game, greedy bastards!

The political process is out of control! Forget political parties, forget agendas, forget it all, I'm talking about the damn commercials! November is a year away and we are being bombarded with these commercials. I'm so glad they were able to increase the money that could be donated to politicians, I was worried I was going to see nothing but BP commercials with employees from the gulf!

Having trouble with my wheelchair, with charging the batteries actually. The chair is fantastic, nice long range, 5 speeds so I can keep up with anyone. I think I'm having charger problems, but I don't know how to check it? The lights run when it's plugged in, I think that's what it's supposed to do? The batteries are newish, shouldn't be those, but I don't know? My wheels are down, and I need to have them back, so I'm searching for a fixer of chairs.

Councilman Gardina Answers Chicken Question, Gives Chicken Response

I sent an obvious form letter out to all the local politicos in my area, current and hopefuls. Vince Gardina is the current district 5 councilman, my district. This was the answer I got from Mr Gardina, and my response to him. This isn't my first contact with the councilman, we danced around an issue of a nursery that is on county property, property that the county condemned throwing a few elderly couples out of their homes for a park they built somewhere else. I was no happier this time than I was the first!

Thanks for responding, this is the beauty of our system, we are free to disagree. I have been after the county for over a year to do something about feral cats in Perry Hall. As a disabled citizen it did me no good to have animal control drop off traps and tell me to catch them and give a call, and I assure you, feral cats are doing more damage, making more noise, and are reproducing faster then all female chickens that are penned up. As for odor, we are talking 2 to 3 chickens, not a new branch plant for Perdue. My neighbors dogs that do their business that is left all day, or longer, bark at each other, birds, the wind, you name it. As for you argument this is fair and appropriate for live animals, I am taking for granted you support changing the law to dogs only on 1 plus acre. Very weak argument Mr Gardina, the people of Perry Hall applaud your decision to not run again.

Baltimore County Chicken Variance

Got a phone call from the county zoning dude, had sent them an email about zoning variances. The guy reiterated the fact that you need an acre to have chickens in Baltimore county, unless you file for a variance. At that point I think you get one of those cool zoning hearing notifications in your front yard, and are giving hearing to see if a variance is in order? I guess I will be going to Towson to file a variance in a few days, wish me luck.

Writ of Replevin For Sheila Dixon

Who's running things in the city right now? I'm not talking about the mayor, I'm looking for the person who is actually in charge, her go to person, the one who makes it work. Sheila Dixon has something that doesn't belong to her, this security system, and she won't give it back. Somebody in the city attorney's office needs to file a writ of replevin, the sheriff's will have it back that same day. I served one once on a ferris wheel, it's not rocket science! Dixon gives you any guff, toss her ass in central booking, see if she still thinks that place is so wonderful!

Parent-Child Bowling, Chickens and Politicians, and MS and Travel Pain

The wife and boy are down to the pro shop to buy her a bowling bowl and shoes. They are in a parent-child league starting this week, and she hasn't bowled in a long time, and is a nervous wreck about it. She could always beat me, so I think she's the greatest! The boy asked her to do it, bought the ball for her birthday, she is so excited she can't see straight. I'm going to go watch just I can wear my regular guy shirts.

I used the form letter off of Charm City Chickens and sent all the candidates for the 5th district seat and county executive a copy. So far 3 have responded, Ken Holt, Gordon Harden, and David Marks, all in favor of, or willing to consider it. How often do I send the others a copy, until they answer, do I send them all again, make it be in their heads? I also sent the current county exec a copy, haven't heard from him yet either. I haven't even started to check into how many rabbits I can have.

My legs are killing me, especially the right one. I'm not experiencing drop foot in it as much as I am foot drag. I'm actually having a problem getting it up off the ground. No panic, I'm going to approach this as residual side effects from our trip. I knew the legs would be effected, but I didn't plan on this, must say it caught me off guard. Good news is if it doesn't get any better, at least I already have a wheelchair, HA!

General McChrystal Speaks, Graduation Soiree, and THC Vaporizors

So, what do I think about General McChrystal's Rolling Stone interview? The parts I've been reading, he joked about a few things, maybe some statements he shouldn't have made, but was it as bad as they are making out to be? He made a joke about not knowing who Biden was, maybe not funny after saying Biden's strategy would promote chaos, but he did it. Some of the other things in the article are quotes from aids that said he bad mouth the president. Who knows, but if he did undermine the president's authority, he probably should loose a star or something.

The boy has his graduation party this Sunday, the wife took care of the whole thing,o I can take no credit, nor any blame. She invited 150 people to the party, 148 are coming! Right now the weather is calling for temps in the high 90's, same with the humidity, and a few thunderstorms. The wife doesn't know the meaning of small, or intimate. She makes Cecil B Demille look like a jingle producer! It always works out, it's always a huge success, and I always stay out of the planning.

The hot weather is kicking my butt, vision is off, hands are foam finger size in feel and dexterity, and I can't get out of my own tracks. Even in the air conditioning and the fan blowing on me full blast, I still got smacked in the pumpkin from the heat. Drinking plenty of liquids, thinking of getting a thc vaporizor to see how I feel? Hey, I did everything else they asked me to do, and then some. I either am going to smoke a little weed, or I'm going for Tisabri infusions once a month, but I'm leaning towards a vaporizor.

Sarah Palin's Lure, Grad Party, and Diet Slurry

I am confused, wish I had a dollar for every time that's happened. People on Facebook keep talking politics, seen a few pretty good "discussions" about it. One thing that keeps me scratching my head is the hold Sarah Palin has? She came unprepared, unvetted, and overwhelmed by the entire process, quit her day job when she lost, and went on a public speaking tour for cash. She was picked because the E's thought Hillary's people would vote for the woman. I guess we should be glad, if Obama hadn't won the D's nomination we would have gotten Michael Steele, but hey, we got him anyway!

The wife is planning the boy's graduation party, or so she says. She ain't foolin' me, she has had this planned since he was 9! That's how she does it, plans things well in advance. She had our 25th anniversary planned by the time we went on our third date! I guess that's why her parties are so good and people are always trying to get her to do it professionally? Like everything in life, my job is to just show up look pretty. Obviously I have the harder of the two jobs.

My weight has become an issue, something has to be done. It's getting so a guy can't sky rocket over 300 pounds without it slowing him down. I was reading,and have read a lot in the past, info on a Dr Terry Wahls, who claims to have significantly cut down her disability by the way she eats. Obviously there is more than diet to both weight and MS health, but it's a good place to start. I make up a slurry of Kale, pear, grapes, orange, water, and ice. I put mine in a regular blender, gives it a nice texture, and a kale green color! Never was a breakfast person, so this drink that I drink over a period of time fills me up. Now to start eating a healthy dinner.
